Lineage: Internet Stream: RAV 2 (details not known) > EMU 0404 Soundcard > Audition @88/32 > Re-master T-Racks / Ozone Mastering Suite 4 > FLAC 44/16

As always a very nice sounding audio from Rav. The re-master has brought about a very rich, crisp, colourful, big sounding concert which was not so much present in the original stream. The audio in the original was perfectly fine though and as such I hope to also offer the untouched version as well in the near future.
I should mention here that some of the re-masters created at victoryroselossless focus on bringing something of the 'feel' of a Sigur Rós concert where as others focus more on getting a more technically pure sounding concert. It depends to a large degree on the original files. This re-master is of the latter.
Quite an important concert for fans in that this is the first time we have heard the new song Bernnsteinn in such a great quality

15.01.2003 Kárahnjúkar Protest Concert Reykjavik - SBD

Kárahnjúkar Protest Concert Reykjavik - SBD

A great way to start the 2003's with something very special. This 3 track concert is incredibly rare and unique. The first track 'Samskeyti' is a very different minimal version. The second track 'Big' made an appearance on the 'Peel Session and the third track is a wonderful extended version of Avalon... with vocals!
One of the things that makes these tracks so good is hearing Jónsi just 'go for it' using the full emotive power of his voice. A truly unique and enjoyable Sigur Rós concert.
From website: Sigur ros will perform a short set next wednesday (january 15th) at a conference whose aim is to protest against the impending construction of the kárahnjúkar power plant in east iceland. this kárahnjúkar hydropower project will result in irreputable environmental damage to approximately 290000 hectares of land in this area. other icelandic artists who have protested against the project include björk, who recently submitted a protest article in the icelandic newspaper morgunblaðið. the conference takes place at borgarleikhúsið in reykjavík and begins at 20:30

Set List:

01 Samskeyti - (mimimal, different version)
02 Big - (1st time played live)
03 Avalon - (extended with vocals)

13.12.2002 Háskólabíó Reykjavík IC - SBD - Re Master *Top Ten Concert*

Quality/Performance: 96/100
Lineage: SBD > DAT

What an amazing finish to the 2002 concerts, (I believe the very last one of 2002) a newly discovered *Top Ten Concert* of outstanding quality, simply faultless. The concert also has the feel of a 'just like you're there' quality which makes this an audiotorial experience of exceptional magnificence. There are two things which slightly let it down, if you can even put it in those terms! The drums are slightly too prominent in the mix and Popplagið is cut short. Enjoy :)

Very nice FM recording. Actually sounds quite the opposite of an FM recording, quite flat & neutral. Perhaps a little too much low end but overall a very pleasing concert

A very early concert - it looks like it was something like the 12th they played in 1999 all of which where in Iceland. There are 3 songs of note here. The 1st track 2, Orralagio,as far as i know is one of the songs that came about while the band was touring inbetween Ágætis Byrjun and ( ) but which somehow got lost along the road - didn't make it on ( ) and disappeared from the live set and didn't resurface on hvarf-heim - it is comparable to fönklagið in that respect . The 2nd, track 5, is a duet between Jonsi and Kjartan. On the album its just called 'Duet' but i believe the name is Debata Mandire. Apparently They dont sing this anymore because Kjarten says his voice isnt up to it. The 3rd song of note is track 6, Rokklagio, an early version which eventually saw release on the recent Hvarf-Heim album under the name Hljomalind.
Huge thanks for Benji for sharing this. Thanks also to Linus for the information about OrraLagið

Lineage: Unknown but believed to be SBD - Re-mastered 10/2010
Quality/Performance: SBD:  A++

One of the top ten classic Sigur Rós concerts. This version is a huge upgrade on the widely circulated FM version which was quite hissy. This is without doubt one of the very best concerts of Sigur Rós. Its extraordinary clean and crisp, perhaps a little too much so! The concert includes some rare live tracks: Syndir Guðs, Flugufrelsarinn and an unusual early version of Von
This was quite a historic show as It marks the last appearance by the original drummer ágúst, and the first by amiina as the string accompaniment. A wonderful show. much thanks to einzack & others who made this possible

1999.00.00 - Icelandic Club, IC - Re-master

1999.00.00 - Icelandic Club, IC - Re-master

Lineage: Unkown
Quality/Performance: AUD?:  B+

Two live songs here from a very early promo CD? performed in an unknown small Icelandic Night Club. Not bad quality, sounds like an audience recording. Its quite interesting to hear these songs at this early stage of their development knowing how they are delivered now 10 years later. Flugufrelsarinn for example is performed quite slowly which gives it a wonderfully majestic feel

01 Ný Batterí
02 Flugufrelsarinn
