Probably one of the best shows Ive heard from Sigur Rós. The played their hearts out and gave this show their very all (although they are all pretty awesome!) Jónsi in particular was truly on form. I wasn't sure if my battery hungry recorder would be happy for a whole show in 24bit so it was a bit of a gamble but my goodness it payed off! A 44/16 and the MP3 are available on another post
Thanks to PG Morris for letting me use his photo's for cover art. You can see many more superb photos by clicking his name below the photo above.

[MF] Flac 24/48 - part1 part2 part3 part4 part5 part6 part7 - (Download all parts - zipped with winrar)
Thank you so much for recording and sharing these fabulous gigs (I was at Thursday and Friday night).
ReplyDeleteI've downloaded the 24 bit files, but Traders Little Helper is giving me an error when I try to read them (Winamp works fine).
For example, when you test the file, it reports:
sr20130307AcademyBrixtonUK_2448StudioMSTR-t13kveikur-RM.flac: file is truncated or otherwise corrupt.
There were errors.
Any idea? The 16 bit files work great.
I think TLH only works with 16/44? I only use it for that bit rate. If I listen to music on my PC I use foobar 2000.
ReplyDeleteDid you find any issues with the audio itself?
DeleteWhen I try to convert it to WAV in Foobar2000 I get the following message, they play fine however in Winamp but not on the Squeezebox. That's how I came across this issue:
ReplyDelete1 out of 1 tracks converted with major problems.
Source: "C:\Users\x\Desktop\sr20130308AcademyBrixtonUK_2448StudioMSTR-t17_popplagid-RM.flac"
Corrupted FLAC stream
It clearly says in the info DO NOT ENCODE TO LOWER SETTINGS. which is why i have also gone to the trouble of providing 16/44
ReplyDeleteConverting to WAV is not encoding to lower settings.
ReplyDeleteI really appreciate you are making the high res available, and I am really really grateful for it, but I only stumbled across the problem the FLAC files don't play on my Squeezebox Touch(while it does play 24/96 files) and gets corrupted by any audio tool. Hence my enquiry regarding the file, please don't feel offended it certainly it not the case.
Oh I see :) Im happy to send you the files directly by snail mail if that helps. I have the re-masters in WAV 24/48. If you send me a usb stick I can put all 3 concerts on it and post it back to you. Each concert is 2.80gb.
