Looking at my notes, the first time I worked with this concert I mostly left it alone as the quality was superb. This time however, I spent a  lot more time with the audio going through the mastering process to see what could be improved and I have to say the results are such that [for me] the Roskilde 2000 show now ranks amongst the top 5 of all time Sigur Rós concerts.
The stereo field is wonderful to experience with each instrument given its own special and clear space to be appreciated in. The way they work together is perfect with Jónsi's voice rising clear and strongly above the mix.The detail of each instrument within the mix is exceptionally clear with the result that the various instruments can each be individually enjoyed at different points of the concert. The performance is also delivered in a slow deliberate agonisingly powerful manner which again makes this one of the very best of the early Sigur Rós.

A fairly good recording of a great show. The sound is quite 'big hall' sounding which, whilst being not so intimate as some others still gives an very enjoyable 'big concert sound' experience. Various elements are quite nice such as punchy drums and a clear crisp sound however it does occasionally get a bit lost during the loudest sections. Still a very enjoyable concert from a special period including a rendition Dauðalagið which is just sublime.

This, the second performance of 2000 is a stunning show. Its quite amusing to hear Jónsi have a light hearted joke with the crowd before launching into some of this incredibly intense and powerfully emotive music. This show is very special in that we have a very rare performance of
Bíum Bíum Bambaló & Dánarfregnir Og Jarðarfarir. Listening to the incredible performance of these 2 songs one wonders why they didn't play them more! Although purporting to be a soundboard recording there is a couple of things of note I need to mention. Firstly, although the original files are .Wav its quite possible they may have originally been lossy. However this hasn't had any audible bearing on the audio itself. That being said the quality isn't as good as others. There was a lot of hiss, a fair amount of which I removed but which is still fairly prominent during quieter sections. These technical points aside its a very powerful and enjoyable concert especially during the louder sections.
This section is no longer relevant as this new Source 2 (thanks khat!) is now perfect. One of the greatest live Sigur Rós finds that has been until un-circulated. It makes me very happy to have this now in perfect quality both to listen and to share

A very early concert - it looks like it was something like the 12th they played in 1999 all of which where in Iceland. There are 3 songs of note here. The 1st track 2, Orralagio,as far as i know is one of the songs that came about while the band was touring inbetween Ágætis Byrjun and ( ) but which somehow got lost along the road - didn't make it on ( ) and disappeared from the live set and didn't resurface on hvarf-heim - it is comparable to fönklagið in that respect . The 2nd, track 5, is a duet between Jonsi and Kjartan. On the album its just called 'Duet' but i believe the name is Debata Mandire. Apparently They dont sing this anymore because Kjarten says his voice isnt up to it. The 3rd song of note is track 6, Rokklagio, an early version which eventually saw release on the recent Hvarf-Heim album under the name Hljomalind.
Huge thanks for Benji for sharing this. Thanks also to Linus for the information about OrraLagið

One of the top ten classic Sigur Rós concerts. This version is a huge upgrade on the widely circulated FM version which was quite hissy. This is without doubt one of the very best concerts of Sigur Rós. Its extraordinary clean and crisp, perhaps a little too much so! The concert includes some rare live tracks: Syndir Guðs, Flugufrelsarinn and an unusual early version of Von
This was quite a historic show as It marks the last appearance by the original drummer ágúst, and the first by amiina as the string accompaniment. A wonderful show. much thanks to einzack & others who made this possible

Two live songs here from a very early promo CD? performed in an unknown small Icelandic Night Club. Not bad quality, sounds like an audience recording. Its quite interesting to hear these songs at this early stage of their development knowing how they are delivered now 10 years later. Flugufrelsarinn for example is performed quite slowly which gives it a wonderfully majestic feel
